Special Access Prices were requested during the 39th Union World Conference and with active follow-up by CheckTB!, these have been granted for low income (LIC) and low medium income countries (LMIC) by manufacturer Delft Imaging Systems.

The first African installation of Odelca-DR was completed in May 2007 at the Occupational Health Management Board in Kitwe Zambia. Screening for lung diseases of mine workers using direct digital X-ray can now be done in a fraction of the time normally required with analogue cameras
will apply efficient procurement practices like combined national orders to help realizing cost savings;

will offer support for national registration when applicable for the system
by including digital radiography in e.g. Global Fund, ECHO, USAID or PEPFAR procurement plans can contribute to secure payments to the manufacturer such as confirmed letters of credit, pre-payment or payment guarantee letters from UNDP, the Global Fund, the World Bank, USAID, NGO’s or equivalent organizations
can contribute to the development of CAD4TB or scientific research by providing diagnosed digital images to the central database the CAD4TB project team intended to be shared with the UNION in the future

* Valid for orders placed until January 1st, 2011 by NTP or in-country principal recipients for Global Fund, USAID, ECHO or PEPFAR (like e.g. MOH, NGO or UNDP) directly at Delft Imaging Systems. Order confirmation is subject to availability of local services and pre-approval by Delft Imaging Systems of final destination country. Comprehensive maintenance services prices for 36 or 60 months are on the basis of pre-payment.
