CheckTB! cooperates with innovators like Delft Imaging Systems and local companies on the design of innovative case detection projects. These projects seek to support TB programmes and scientific research for accelerating case detection.

Delft has over 50 years of experience in the field of TB screening using Chest X-ray with over 25.000 units delivered worldwide. Local companies with which CheckTB! cooperates are specialists in healthcare project design and innovative services.

Delft Imaging Systems is specialized in development, manufacture, service and support of innovative digital imaging. The company finds its origin in Oldelft, which introduced the Odelca chest screening camera system in 1950 still in use around the world.

The new digital Odelca-DR system is designed to provide a solution to the limitations that exist on the wider use of chest X-rays, such as non-availability of radiologists at peripheral health facilities, insufficient image quality of films and the difficulty of interpreting results, even by trained physicians. The KNCV TB Foundation, senior Dutch radiologists and the UNION provided valuable input for the Odelca-DR concept.
